I answer often asked questions on the criteria for certified translators. My translation company helps you manage every project for different purposes and assures you that your documentation meets official guidelines.
Certified translator A certified translator is a member in good standing of a professional translation association in Canada or abroad. Their certification must be confirmed by a seal or stamp that shows the translator’s membership number.
One of my stamps is displayed over the text.
I usually need scans or high-quality images for translation. Please submit them to me via email at igor@isaev.ca, WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, or regular text message. You may also bring them to my office in person.
If notarisation is needed, I can facilitate it for a supplementary fee.
In Canada, only public notaries are legally authorized to certify copies as identical to the originals. I can take your original documents to a notary and certify copies on your behalf (at an extra fee). I include a copy of the source document in my translation package.
Absolutely, I am more than willing to assist on a turnkey basis. We will apostille, authenticate, and legalize your documents. For details, please e-mail igor@isaev.ca.
Here is the most complete guide for apostilling Canadian documents for use in other countries. It includes several samples, images, descriptions, and illustrations of apostilles. I tried everything on hundreds of Canadian clients.
The Canadian Ministry of Immigration's official website states:
A translation does not change over time and should be valid permanently, unless the original document has been altered or expired. The translation remains valid if a certified translator's or notary's signature has expired. The translation is valid as long as the translator's certification was current at the time of signature.
The translation will only expire if the source document has expired or was changed, and the applicant submits a new one.
