The Canadian Ministry of Immigration indicates that translated documents remain valid unless the writers alter the original texts before expiration. The translated document retains its legal validity, unaffected by any expired signatures from professional translators or notaries. The translation is considered a valid document when the translator provides an active certification upon signing.
The translation will stay valid unless the source document expires or is modified, which will require a new translation upon the applicant's submission of the updated document.
