According to the Canadian Ministry of Immigration, translated documents are legal unless the original texts are altered by the writers prior to expiration. The translated document's legal validity is unaffected by any expired signatures from translators or notaries. When the translator issues an active certification after signing, the translation is regarded as valid.
The translation will remain valid until the original document being translated expires or is updated. A new translation will be required when the applicant submits the revised document.
