The Canadian Ministry of Immigration's official website states:
A translation is stable and should retain its validity indefinitely unless the original document has been altered or has expired. The translation remains valid regardless of whether the signature of a certified translator or notary has expired. The translation is considered valid as long as the translator's certification is up to date at the time of signing.
The translation will be considered legitimate unless the original document has expired or been updated; in such circumstances, the applicant must submit a new one.
