The Canadian Ministry of Immigration indicates that translated documents remain valid unless the original texts are altered by the writers prior to their expiration. The translated document maintains its legal validity, unaffected by any expired signatures from translators or notaries. The translation is considered a valid document when the translator issues an active certification upon signing.
The translation will continue to be valid unless the original document translated expires or is modified. At that time, a new translation will be required upon the applicant's submission of the updated document.
